Do we need to sign up on Boards for future games?

I won't be signing up to anymore boards WW games until they make it ww compatible. we have a list of issue that need to be fixed from our pilot game there, the star trek 2 game.
The simpsons one will not be hosted on boards but has sign up thread there. pm necro here to sign up for that one, or sign up on boards.

Honestly not sure on a few of those questions. One thing I would say is I'd hate is to be competing with OG Forum Games.

With The Simpsons due to run here, I'd hope that Boards can figure out a few quirks in that time.

After that, I'd propose contacting upcoming mods and asking their opinion.

I always thought the schedule was shite tbh. No reason only one game can be run a month.

I would say start from scratch and only include games with sign up threads posted here.

If there are game mods who want to put a sign up thread here then add it. If not, I wouldn't bother.

Well Simpsons is going to be on the backroom site, as opposed to here. But imo it's up to future hosts where they want to hold their games in which case it may be an idea to leave that schedule as is for Boards purposes and draft our own one here, with current slot holders having first refusal on the particular month they currently hold on Boards.

Well, if you/barney need a post 7pm mod, who can't commit much during the day. i can do lynches, but can't do munchs or keep track of the game for anytime actions.
if thats what barney and you need, i can do, but you may find someone who can commit more time, so i'll leave the option open for now.

I haven't been as present as I'd like these past 18 months or so, but do intend to return and have just finished playing the Dr. Who game.

According to the Boards schedule, I have myself down for the November 2021 slot. At this stage, I unfortunately will not be able to run a game in November. Whether you guys plan on keeping the original Boards schedule or not, I'm letting you know anyway that my November slot is now available.

I'm down for some games next year though, and be it according to the schedule or otherwise I do hope to get back to modding in 2022 just as I hope to get back to playing WW more often.

My thoughts on the original schedule - If there are a majority of game mods who want to keep it, go for it and whoever doesn't make it across from Boards their slot is up for grabs. However, the queue over on Boards which sometimes could be 2 years long was way too long a wait if someone wanted to put their names down. It's an online forum game, not an appointment with a consultant in a public hospital. We should allow mods to run games without having to wonder if they'll still actually be alive when their turn comes around. Maybe just have a minimum notice period of 2 months or something, and have at least a week off between long games.
