Robin Williams v Matt Dillon
Groucho Marx v Dustin Hoffman - yikes, I love the Marx Bros films, but not against Hoffman.
Eli Wallach v Charlie Chaplin - another tough one.
Ralph Fiennes v Clive Owen - looks like he's losing here, but I have enjoyed far more of his movies than Ralph's.

You're doing great, Witchita. I can see you've put a lot of effort in to each round, with the trivia and pics. Enjoying this so far and well done.

2 comic geniuses laugh their way into round 2 in the shape of Robin Williams and Charlie Chaplin. Ralph Fiennes wins an all British clash and Dustin Hoffman has an 11-0 whitewash over Eli Wallach.

Coming up can Indiana Jones, James Bond & Columbo carry on?

=================
Results -

Robin Williams 9 v 2  Matt Dillon
Groucho Marx 0 v 11 Dustin Hoffman
Eli Wallach 4 v 7 Charlie Chaplin
Ralph Fiennes 8 v 3 Clive Owen

===================

Round 1 - Matches 21 - 24

Harrison Ford - He worked as a carpenter in Los Angeles before achieving fame in movies, mainly doing home remodeling work. He had a reputation as one of the best cabinetmakers in the city, and his services were much in demand on Los Angeles' trendy Westside long before he became a movie star.   https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000148/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
[Image: 25-memorable-harrison-ford-performances.jpg][Image: lasfinest-1.jpg?resize=800%2C424&ssl=1]
Jessica Alba - Despite her Mexican ancestry, she isn't fluent in Spanish. She hardly understands anything in that language. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004695/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Larry David - Mentioned in Family Guy: Lois Comes Out of Her Shell (2012), where Stewie tells Sheldon the turtle, "You look like a nude Larry David".   https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0202970/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Nathan Fillion - Wanted to be a high school drama teacher. In college he majored in art and minored in drama while pursuing an acting career on the side.
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0277213/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peter Falk - He failed a screen test at Columbia Pictures early in his career and was told by studio boss Harry Cohn: "For the same price, I can get an actor with two eyes."
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000393/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
[Image: 66MZZHNSJ2WDXLMDJYRE42MQRY.jpg][Image: greg-kinnear.jpg]
Greg Kinnear - Lived in Beirut, Lebanon for almost nine months in 1975 due to his father's position with the State Department. ===================
https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001427/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sean Connery - He improvised his iconic line "Bond. James Bond" in Dr No (1962) after finding that the initial introduction line "I am James Bond" was flat and sounded unnatural. It took a few subsequent takes before he included the pause, giving the line it's effect. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000125/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Sophia Loren - The Best Actress Oscar she won for Two Women (1960) was stolen by thieves from her Italian villa. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) later replaced it for a small fee.

Harrison Ford v Jessica Alba - not even close.
Larry David v Nathan Fillion - by my pretty floral bonnet, it has to be.
Peter Falk v Greg Kinnear - this is tough, neither are super close to my heart, but Falk played the granddad in Princess Bride which is enough.

His chin scar is from an accident when working as a carpenter, which was retrofitted in to the Indy character by having his younger self (played by River Phoenix) get a slash of a whip in the intro to The Last Crusade.

Honestly, you'd be hard pushed to find a more unpleasant guy in Hollywood than Harry Cohn. I was reading about him recently. Definitely the Harvey Weinstein of his day, though probably worse.

Harrison Ford - no contest here for me anyways
Nathan Fillion - Larry David is very good but a bit of a one trick pony with Curb. I don't like Firefly but really love Fillion in The Rookie so he gets my vote here
No opinion on either
Sean Connery - Yesh Mish Moneypenny, Welcome to The Rock

Harrison Ford and Sean Connery who of course were father & son in Indiana Jones are the big winners in this batch with Nathan Fillion benefitting from Larry David being best known for being irritating in Curb Your Enthusiasm (my wife cant stand him) and Peter Falk squeaks through on a casting vote.

Next up includes another James Bond. Or should that be Seamus Bond?

Steve McQueen v Lucille Ball - because you just don't get much cooler than the McQueen
Minnie Driver v Jane Russell - classic in her day.
Camille Cottin v Marisa Tomei - honestly, never heard of Cottin.
Jason Bateman v Pierse Brosnan - not a fan of Brosnan's Bond and he can't sing for shit in Mamma Mia (though credit for giving it a good try) but Bateman has been in some decently funny films.

Camille Cottin is a very good French actress. She's excellent in Call My Agent and I've also seen her in a couple of movies. She's no Marisa Tomei but she's good.

Bateman is very good in Ozark surprisingly and it's quite different to what he normally does imo anyways. Still though, Brosnan is better.
