I flirted with the wooden spoon a little too much for my liking, and it would have been a lot worse if I'd gone with my original Ferrari driver rather than Schumi. Imo Gilles Villeneuve is the greatest driver never to win the World Championship, but fortunately I realised that a lot more people have heard of Schumacher than Villeneuve.
As for my first car, this was mine, a Peugeot 106. You could nearly turn it in the driveway the turning circle was so small, and it was great fun throwing it into a corner. Wasn't so much fun when I had to give four lads a lift to match one day. Even pulling away from lights on a flat road was a major effort. They were big guys too, I've no idea how three of them fit in the back seat.
This was my first car, a 1987 Ford Fiesta, me and my 2 younger brothers all learned to drive in it.
I gave 4 lads from my college course a lift home one day, and parked my car at their house as we were going out. When I went to get the car the next day, it wasn't outside their house where I left it. They had gotten home from the pub, and those 4 with 2 friends, were able to lift the car, and move it down the road a bit! Like you, when all 4 were in the car, it was almost dragging off the ground.
I had a 1991 Peugeot 205 as my next car - my dad bought it for £75 in 2000/2001 I think - and it is probably my favourite car I have ever owned. Such good fun to drive. I went off to Australia for a year in 2004, and when I got back, my dad had sold it for parts to some rally driver. I was broken hearted
Thanks for running @Wichita Lineman, I am in no way surprised to have finished quite so low. Congrats @nothing, podium winners and @Mam of 4!
