from my POV, it was because friar was not named as NRV or as one of the rolled villagers per OP. cant remember for sure, but i presume i forgot about the other rolled not named.

That's the whole point. You wondered whether someone called Elsa the Village frostbinder was good? Smacks of phoning it in and pretending to be trying to figure out what's happening. Tell tale sign of a wolf, being that disengaged.

not really. i find wolves rarely make mistakes cos they are way more concerned about what they post.
