At the time of the quote, you had not won the 2nd shield, therefore "anybody else could have won the 2nd shield", and when they did, they would have told us that it could be used on anyone. That's why you were honest about .

So, this sentence "If that were true I would have made it clear I could only save myself. This is not my first rodeo" was a lie.

The above sentence in bold I made today in reference to your theory that I could be a wolf, won the 1st shield, give it to a villager and then selected them for murder so that it would look like I was attacked, hence not a wolf

Now, if I did the above, I wouldn't have said today that I could have given the shield to anyone, I would have said that I could only use it on myself, and given most ww games you can't or its against the spirit of the game for wolves to attack their own to make a wolf look village, and that would have blown your theory out of the water.

I said I could have given it to anyone because it is true. and I have nothing to hide.

I think the argument is that you specified you used it on yourself D2, before you won the second shield, just in case someone else won a shield D2 and shared that it could be used on anyone. It would be a smart move to make for a traitor.
