Review

I remember watching this a few years ago with a mate and we really enjoyed it so I had high hopes for this rewatch. It started out pretty good, had a good premise, and was pretty tense. However once it gets going I felt it turned into a standard torture porn fair. The characters just lost all sense that they were different and could actually act this story out in a realistic manner. Now there was some decent acting here, the male lead was good, he unfortunately was killed in a freak accident a year after this movie was released when he got crushed by his Jeep in his driveway. The 2nd act introduces Captain Jean Luc Picard, who doesn't really add much to the movie from an acting perspective. So this was a disappointing rewatch, I was expecting this to be a great pick though in fact it was just a good pick. Great effort though with this nomination.
