Review

I thought I had seen this movie though I couldn’t remember much apart from the wood chipper scene. I’m not a big fan of the Coen brothers as evident in an earlier round. However, I did enjoy this one and it was much shorter than I was expecting. Great acting all round, I especially liked Macy. Black comedies are not for me and I think that is why I’ve given it a score that is lower than this movie deserves. Everything about the movie otherwise is almost perfect, from the screenplay to the soundtrack. Lots of Oscar nominations, winning a few. I wouldn’t say this was a great pick though that is no fault to the movie.

Trivia

Most of the snow in this movie was artificial since it was not snowing in Minnesota when the film was shot.
