If an act has one hit in the UK, for example, but multiple hits in the US including the UK hit, is the UK hit eligible?

Yes, it will go into the UK section.

That's exactly why I wanted to split it because not many acts are one hit wonders in both regions. I could have just ran a UK or US ohw contest though running both together might work fine and then have a grand finale.
