I love James Stewart. Absolutely think he's fantastic and I'd give him top spot all day long. I can see how my comment was misunderstood so I'll clarify. Given the way a lot of my other favourite actors were knocked out I was amazed he got this far.

Agree with this.  I'm surprised at how quickly some of the classics era actors got knocked out.

I suspect that it's just been much longer (for me anyway) since I've seen a Paul Newman or James Stewart film.

I think the 3 x 3 grid pictures of work above was very helpful remembering some of the stuff they've done.
