My music taste has mostly evolved from being a 90s indie boy. I like indie, folk-rock, post-rock especially. Mostly what I want is the feel of a song though. I'll take believing the singer means what they're saying over technical ability. Some of my favourite singers have voices that are pretty rough and ready. Favourite bands vary a lot depending on my mood, but I come back to 65daysofstatic, Enter Shikari, Portishead, Sigur Rós a lot. I get bored easily though, so I love the likes of Radiohead and The National but hardly ever listen to them, knowing they exist is enough
But despite all of that, I'm going to quote my own walrus...

I want new genres, new bands, stuff I wouldn't normally listen to. So don't worry about what you think I like, please pick stuff you like that you think deserves a wider audience. And that doesn't mean it has to be obscure, for example I know next to no chart music these days. I don't know much dance, rap, RnB, country...
