Alas, a pall of gloom and deep despair lay heavy upon the disheartened fellowship, like a shroud woven of the foul mists of Mordor itself. Mournful was the silence in the hall, save for the low, weary murmuring that spoke only of doubt and the certain ruin that seemed to stalk our path.

But hark! Even as the deepest sorrow held sway, and the heart of hope was nigh extinguished, a light broke forth! Not the pallid, sickly gleam of the moon, nor the cold, distant stars, but a living, brilliant radiance, sudden and terrifyingly pure. Lo, at the threshold stood a figure, tall and terrible in his beauty, robed not in the faded grey of ash and travel, but in a blinding mantle of white that outshone the very snows of the highest peaks.

He spoke, and his voice was as clear as a bell struck beneath the sky, bearing the authority of fire and the wisdom of the long ages. The dust of death had been shaken from him. He was the same, yet utterly transformed; the servant of the Secret Fire, now its master. He is Gandalf the White, rejoined to us to cast down the creeping shadows and lead us through this perilous game.

Let the wolves tremble! The strength that was lost is found anew, and a brighter hope than ever we deserved stands ready to our defence.

Gandalf the White has returned and is now present in the village!

What's happening now

maybe the balrog?

Balrogs (/ˈbælrɒɡ/ ⓘ) are a species of powerful demonic monsters in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth.

I have had a little time out and I am back fresh to the fight against the darkness.

So, here are some of my observances.

Who picked up Legolas' (Edward?) arrow? Was it GM to teach us a lesson, or a wolf, or a vig?

Now that Frodo (Magda) is dead, who has the ring, and what is it doing to them? I have no special insight but I wonder about conversions and the "trusting noone" bit. There seems something just hinky about the whole game; no way is it this simple.
Where are our JOAT, vig? Why is there more than one seer type character as well? (Gandalf the Grey and Prada) Now we have noone with that power given the munches and lynches. Unless there is a 3rd person with those powers?

In re BG. If Vernon was BG, does he get to see if who he is protecting is good or bad? If not, he protected Laura, and look how she repaid him?

Benjamin said something that interested me earlier today- in a wofly way.
Also, early on in the game Vincent said to someone "You are not the Seer, I am the Seer" which I thought was an odd thing to say, esp as he was not Gandalf.

My breadcrumbing was in relaiton to "looking" and "having to look" but it wasnt obvious enough, sorry about that. I was out IRL and only saw the wagons circling and posted too late with a more obvious sign. HIndsight 20:20 etc. No hard feelings. I was trying to escape the wolves but I am a real target now- not that I will yield them anything, other than I am a known villager.

I did get one peek before I was lynched so it looks like no wolf wagoned me.

Anyone want to fill me in on anything else pertinent?

My reads for now, in no order.
Ina- nice as pie. Lots of info. Super helpful. Not sure why you are getting read as a villager the whole time, but that would also be my read
Pat- you know my feelings there
Mick - Teflon Mik, the fightin Irish.
Laura: The one remaining woman in the mix of the 3. (see next line)
Vincent- Need to go back and check that Seer comment and who it was to. I'll be honest I had Edward as Alpha and being protected by 2 women- Laura, Wendy or Magda... but I was wrong on 2 women anyway.
Edward: I don't know. Really pushed village but what is the power? It was watching for Prada and Frank , who didnt undertake an action. is that right?
Benjamin: Getting vibes on Benjamin
William and Frank. I don't know. Bit hit and miss, which I don't like.

What the heck happened with Prada- she had me and Edward? That makes no sense? She got to what? peek (seer) as well?? And her view was distorted somehow?

Most sus for me at the moment are Ben, Laura and Vincent.

I'll go back over the posts now and see who Vincent said Seer to, and also the thing I found sus about Ben (it was post lynch last night and pre-lynch tonoight so I have some reading to do)

Other than from reading here and having to read back, I have no other magical insight, those are just the ramblings of an elderly person. LOL

Great to be back.

Started to figure Vernon was like me. If Laura is a wolf, that becomes a good look for me and Will. Pat is already pretty much clear.

I think it was when he (Ben) was asking about 3 to 4 wolves.

Tbf some other much lower posters are playing a great game. We talk about the likes of Mick but we never vote him. Who has never had any votes at all? Frank?

The other thing I wonder- and it pertains again to the corruption piece. Can the wolves recruit if we kill one? I mean that would suck obviously because then it makes it pretty hard to win for the villagers.

However, the corruption piece- the ring corrupts certain people. Look how it coruppted Golum? BUt it didnt affect everyone.

When Gandalf and Elrond are talking in the movie before the council, they marvel at how Frodo is strangely resistant to the rings power. So I would think if any of the hobbits hold it, they will resist its power. We have to trust to hope that one of Sam or Pippin picked it up. Sam resists its power too, surrendering the ring back to Frodo when he possesses it for a short time. The more I think about the write up of Frodo's death, the more I feel like the ring is hidden and safe for now

For me, the d1 vote and d3 votes are the important ones so far

D1 we yeet a wolf, in my opinion the counter wagon needs to be cleared up, thats Laura.  They were more active today but were in trouble so had to be more active

Tonight we yeet a villager and again Laura is the counter wagon. Interestingly, apart from Laura,  all the other voters there have somewhat good marks against their names.. Frank cleared ina, Edward has role claimed

D2 unfortunately we yeet you and probably have another villager 2nd in Edward,  so I dunno if we can gain much from that

I dunno if that's any additional info as such, but its my thoughts.  Wagonomics says Laura to go, and let's face it they were quiet and not 'helpful' really till today when they had to be

Now obviously we can also look at those non wagonomics based players who really aren't helping themselves like mick, William etc. But id have had Laura in this category too

Also, @Edward the Barber you watched Prada and what? Nothing? And then you watched Frank? And nothing? And these were only found out by you during the day? The results of the action I took was revealed to me at night.
So you are doing it... when? And hearing the result in the day?

@Frank the Tank what, if any action, would Edward have thought you might be undertaking?

Edward why did you choose Frank?
And have you anyone chosen now for your special action?

I don't know what action Edward thought I was undertaking. I asked him earlier today why he picked me and he didn't respond.
He said he chose Prada and that did have an affirmative response, and negative for me.

I said earlier, the result of my request was given during the night also. But if Frank's is to track action, action can happen at any stage during the night right up to munch, so makes sense he gets that after the munch.
