I was looking for a feedback thread and there wasn't one. I wanted to say you were all useless!

No no no... I read the mod backroom and it's obvious that so much work went into it all. Designing the game, creating the players and all their backrooms, all the flavour, gifs, keeping on top of the lynches, the roled players actions, but mostly talking to Leg End!
Fair play, it was loads of work and it was great game. You should be very proud. Thanks a million for running, I'm very glad I got drafted in

Otherwise... first time I've played without an auto priest. It went fine, but I think the village was a little lucky night 2, with a successful vig shot and second wolf peek. Otherwise my gut feel is that it would be really difficult, but obviously others have more experience

I hadn't a clue really what was happening. I was convinced Edna was a wolf, although getting rid of the SK hampered the wolves so that worked out. I was suspicious of Doris and Eleanor and had them as wolves. I was the worst BG because I couldn't tell who to protect and didn't pick up on a lot of things and misread others.

I also don't know how Ralph the vig spotted Barney as a wolf, but that really turned the game and poor Monty was under pressure from there. I loved the backroom though!

I felt it took too much time and mental energy for me because I felt responsible for the village, if I had been a NRV or wolf I wouldn't have felt under as much pressure. It would have been nice to have an autopriest though, even if Fat Tony/Barney was just revealed as a wolf, rather than the head goon.

You need a full strong team on the wolves to have a chance of winning. Also that Krusty (Bart) power is too OP. All the wolves could do was roleblock (which turned out to be useless on the priest, it should have stopped him from getting the information on who died that day and not just delay it). I pretty much gave up on the last day I was hoping people would vote for me.

Yep, you really had a tough road to try to win. If Ralph hadn't somehow spotted Barney I think you'd have had a chance. Bart was only supposed to have that power one night so that didn't help either. I can empathise with your stress though.

have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the game (even though I was wrecked afterwards!) & think posting in simpsons accounts really helped me get into the swing of things. trying to remember everyone's names would have been tough otherwise.

wolves got a bit unlucky that the serial killer shot went to homer night one & then sk got lynched so that took the amount of evil kills way down.. The shot on Barney was big turning point also as I think he was doing a good job looking like a villager. If those things hadn't happened it would have been much closer

I really got into the game properly midday through day 2, I was a bit all over the place learning the ropes before that so thanks to the more experienced players for baring with me!

I said it in my Q&A room but I was kinda glad I was a NRV, not too much pressure on me so I could post freely without damaging the village too much, even though I put a fair amount of pressure on Homer before he revealed.... I'm not even sorry I still think JP Liz is a wolf 

I also still think I should have got a prize for the effort that went into making my competition gif, and will fight anyone that says otherwise

i think I've already given you my feedback on Red Riding Hood.. I still have nightmares over that & hope I am never seer again.. Just kidding (kinda) 

Much prefered being a wolf, it's interesting how differently you look at the game with each different role. Still get those little heart stopping moments when you post something & think you've got yourself caught, but they are much fewer than being on the village side!

On a gameplay side of things I was a little dissappointed we didn't get to see how the doc taking over an account would have played out.. Could the doc have regened as a wolf?

Yes, we hadn't actually fully fleshed out The Doctors regen before we started, and we discussed whether it would be villagers only, NRV only or any player. We felt with the numbers, it'd be very unfair on the village for it to be village only but that was after two RVs had been dead.

It's unfair to the wolves unless it's specified in the OP that he could regen as any active player in the game and it should be random, not selected based on numbers on either side.

The OP said "player", we'd never specified but if it was village only, then it was essentially 4 wolves, which is not balanced in a 12 player game imo. As much as I love wolves, it's no fun when one side has a huge advantage over the other.

Fair enough, I'd have had a hissy fit though and would have been annoyed for Lorcan too if he was out of the game.

Yeah I agree with you nothing, 3 wolves in a 12 player game makes sense the doc could regen into a wolf buddy. It added an extra layer to our planning to in case the doc was in trouble before leg end or myself

It infuriating.

That's not to take anything away from the wolves, they had to play the same game and make decisions to fall in line with that and they did great.

I brought up the thanks stuff on the backroom. Which Neo will fix for the next one. It did kind of give the wolves a head start, especially on a RV, it was annoying, but what can you do.

I'm properly burned out from this one though and will be taking a step back I think.

I think I might throw together a short "how to" or something about settings etc to check to avoid post count and thanks issues, permissions. There's some really useful stuff on boards that would be useful for game mods going forward to have available on the backroom.

Glad to see I'm not alone in feeling that this is highly unacceptable. I've made my thoughts known in detail over in the backroom as Jodie, but in short I won't be playing with that player again or permitting them entry to any game that I'm lead mod in. Once bitten, twice shy and all that. What happened in this game was a fucking disgrace.

Anyway, well done to Keith, Lorcan and Leg End Reject on a clean sweep victory. Thanks to nothing and Barney for the huge effort which went into running this.

you can thank a post, but no counts are tallied anymore.

postcount supression is done in the usual method.
when setting up secret backrooms, make sure to deselect the yes towards post counts.

I agree with you on that poster,  no idea what the play was and posting style was beyond aggressive 

Just on the thanks thing,  yeah we did pick up on it but were actually leaning towards you for first munch before William strongly hinted at bring roled

Glad to see I'm not alone in feeling that this is highly unacceptable. For me, I was at the end of some of the insults. This game is supposed to be fun, and posts like that take away the fun element for me. When nothing asked for volunteers to go back in and play Patrick, I was glad y0ss accepted as I felt it would be more of a slog rather than fun if I did. I also feel like @Trigger and will be taking a step back for the next game, and see from there. 

I saw in the wolf rooms you were trying to attribute the real player to the game alias. I found that interesting as I don't think I did that once this game. Obviously I knew H2PB and Liz, you can't help but recognise their styles. 

Good game wolves, thanks Barney and nothing for running. I never realised I knew so much about Doctor Who just by being subjected to it over the last 7 years.

If I hadn't spotted cee_jay's thank count she wouldn't have been munched and none of us were worried about Christopher (Yoss 1) so his lynching was very lucky for us, he came back as Patrick and was a formidable player.

Many people were suspicious of me (David/K9), and some were suspicious of Peter/Neo and Paul/Lorcan. If the false peek info hadn't led to a day being wasted going around in circles about Colin it would have been a very different game. After Colin was lynched the seer should have come clean and stopped changing their story.

I was actually going to claim seer at one stage and checked the details with Neo in the backroom. I think I could have persuaded enough players to believe me.

There was a lot of fun sucked out of the game and the village was clearly frustrated trying to make sense of it all. There were experienced players who spot things easily, yet one of us wolves was never in danger. It's a shame it played out like that, but it would be a disaster if it leads to players not signing up again.

Thanks to nothing and Barney for all the work in setting it up, it obviously takes a lot of time and energy.

Shame the game went the way it did for the village but not taking anything away from the wolves, they did very very well. Thanks mods for the game, with a good few subs it can't have been easy to manage everything.

Little bit of an elephant in the room though is player numbers, it does seem to be like trying to pull hen's teeth getting sign ups for games recently. Wonder is there anything we can do about that?

For myself I know I need some time off from WW, even before the semi final I was feeling massively burned out and just not enjoying playing. I want to get that feeling back but I definitely need to take a few months sabbatical.

Yes @nothing if the doc was killed could he decide who he went in to or would you, could it be any player left even an RV ?

Even though I was wrong with my picks and we the village lost, I did enjoy DW WW, great game by wolves and well done to them and thank you mod organisers

With numbers, I think between the issues on boards, people taking some time out, people back in offices, time of the year that's in it, have all contributed. Not sure what the solution is. 

I know I'll have less time going forward and definitely need a break from it anyway.

I've been ruminating on this all day and need to say this in light of how things worked out in the game.

I was delighted to be a wolf and am fully aware I started with an unfair advantage after spotting cee_jay's thanks discrepancy. I did mention it along with the online status and backroom post count showing. Nonetheless, as a wolf I could immediately identify a RV so cee_jay never had a chance to play the game.

Yoss 1 wasn't lynched because of us wolves, but it meant that 2 strong RVs were out as the game just got going. He came back as Patrick and was on the ball!

The seer debacle then created the perfect storm for us to hide and let the chaos lead us to the win.

Looking at the other backrooms and dead room I was close to being lynched and that would have changed the course of the game.

The village never really stood a chance so the wolf victory is a hollow one. I believe in having integrity in the game so I hold my hands up for my part in that being compromised.

I really hope that this game doesn't deter players from signing up again. The game mods, nothing and Barney put so much effort into setting up and running it and I also hope this hasn't turned them off doing it again.

I was a bg in one game, and was probably the worst in the history of WW games, but I agonised over every decision and did the best I could as an inexperienced player, so I don't understand how the seer let this game continue in the way it did.

I would suggest that if a game is compromised again that a certain percentage of player are reranded, or subbed if possible, so that everyone starts the game on a level playing field.

Shout out to the village, you all did what you could with inconsistent information in a game that can lead you to doubt yourself.

I think my modding experience on the two games previous to DW were more exciting games, I was proper rooting for the wolves to make it. DW one, it kind of felt like there was almost an extra wolf. Absolutely not to take away from the wolves, who managed to mostly stay undercover very well, and of course benefited from the chaos, by Tuesday post lynch, we knew there was only 2 possibilities of a village win of the 6 or so different scenarios.

I am mildly (and I really do mean quite mildly) annoyed with what happened, mainly because I knew there were players who were not having as much fun as they could have, and in hindsight, we definitely should have done more to address that. I also think if I'd been a player rather than a mod, I'd be more annoyed, so I really empathise.

It hasn't put me off wanting to play or mod, though I am a little happy that I'll be too busy IRL for a bit to do either. Definitely need a break.

If I had been a RV or villager I'd be fucking fuming, I'd need a backroom to vent so I totally understand the frustration.

As I said I was delighted to be a wolf and that prevented me looking at things from a village perspective. So to all the frustrated players - come back and get me!

As an aside, if I had been village I would have trusted Syl, Jon, Patrick, William and Jodie and I would have tunnelled Matt and Tom like I was trying to get to Australia.
