Philanthropist- yes, but more in a private rather than overly public way.

It can't be Warren Buffett as he's still active in Berkshire Hathaway. It can't be Bill Gates as he is still involved in non-Microsoft businesses per Wikipedia. I'll need to sit on this one.

Not particularly known for TV appearances?! (perhaps, as he's not on our screens every month but arguably has had a reasonably good TV profile)
Not involved in the arts? (surely he would qualify under this by virtue of having directed multiple global movie hits, by being ranked as one of the most successful directors ever and with some of his movies assessed as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", per Wikipedia)
