Here is the premise then as I need a little feedback before I prepare this

This is a normal Peehs game with regards to scoring though instead of providing questions I will be providing audio files similar to my previous game.
Each file will contain 10 sec clips of 8 songs, each file will also be themed.
I have planned to have 15 files, I have the songs already selected, just need to prepare the files. I am thinking now though that 15 is quite a lot for you guys. It is over 20 mins of music and that is if you only listen to it once. I can go with 12 or 10 if you think it will suit you players better. Let me know your thoughts. I'm fine with 15 so don't worry about me.

I could as an alternative, shorten the clips to maybe 5 secs

I would prefer to run this in one go and not like the Advent calendar game of one round per day.

Sounds great, I'm probably going to regret saying this but, depending on whether you are doing intros or other random bits of the songs, maybe shorter clips would work fine?
I don't mind doing 15 rounds as long as this is open for a week or so to make sure I have time 🙂

The clips will be from a random part of the song and probably with lyrics.

15 questions sounds good too - perhaps leave entries open for maybe two weeks, will give people a chance to sit down and listen or have repeated listens

There are 15 files, each containing 8 songs. As always, please send me your answers via PM and check you have them ordered correctly
Scoring is the same as other Peehs, you are looking for the least popular answer, if you answers incorrectly, you will score 1.5 times the most popular answer.

I have themed each file as follows

1 Now - All these songs appeared on the first Now UK album
2 80s - All these songs were released in the 80s
3 90s - All these songs were released in the 90s
*4 8bit - 8bit or 16bit versions of popular songs
5 Grammy - These songs won a Grammy award for song of the year
6 21st Century - Songs released this century
7 Disco - Disco songs
8 Rock - Rock songs
9 Scandinavian - Songs by Scandinavian artists
10 Boy girl groups - Songs by a boy band or girl groups
11 Irish - Songs by Irish artists
12 N0. 1s - Songs that topped the Irish charts
13 Covers - Cover songs
14 OHW - One Hit Wonders (Disclaimer, maybe not ohw according to Declan)
15 Past Winners - Songs that have won a game I ran previously here or on Boards

All songs have been released as singles and have reached the top 40 in Ireland, UK, or US (to the best of my knowledge)

Your answers should include the artist and song title. I will be lenient on spelling but I will be strict on you getting artists and songs names correct

* file 4 8bit, I only require the song title for this answer

The files are on Soundcloud, I hope that works for everyone. I can also use Tumblr though there is a limit on how many I can upload per day, let me know if you have trouble listening to the files

Correct. I think the songs are all well known so wanted to make it a little more taxing. 

Note also that you need to answer the artist you hear. For example if the song was covered by another act and you answer them then it counts as incorrect

Question 4 I only require the song title as you will not know who made those pieces of music!

Things are going surprisingly steady for me thru six rounds. I've known at least one in each round so far. I'm actually spoiled for choice for round 6 and not sure which to go for...

I knew 90 out of 120, unless some are wrong. Some songs I wouldn't call Disco in the Disco round but I appreciate the thought anyway! Definitely struggled the most with the 21st century round
