New game, let's find the best song of 2022!
To enter, PM me one song released this year, simple.
Anything goes, doesn't have to be a single. Album songs, random releases, soundtracks, live covers, X Factor performances, anything. If you can find me a youtube video you can enter it
I'll work out the format afterwards. Realistically it'll be a SURLAW, but if we happen to be on a suitable number I might make it a little tournament.
Let's say Christmas Day for a deadline. I'll get something up the week between Christmas and New Year, with a reveal in the new year

There are some songs I hate that are still objectively good and I just dislike them, but this song really is objectively really bad even though certain people seem to love it given its chart success this year

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of Sam Smith per se, I haven't done a deep enough dive of their stuff, but some of the big singles are great. Its a bit of an ongoing joke between myself and some of my friends to randomly break into the chorus of Money On My Mind at any given time

Ah now here, the original was a perfectly acceptable 90s anthem although fair enough if you don't like that one, but Queen Bebe Rexha and Master of the Mixing Desk David Guetta have turned it into a modern masterpiece.
