@jp liz v1 is a big beneficiary of Uruguay's hilarious exit this afternoon, South Korea through and with that she has 6 out of 8 selections into the last 16! Only @Sephiroth_Dude has 6 apart from Liz, and he could yet end up with an unprecedented SEVEN out of 8 going through if Cameroon manage to pull off a miracle this evening.

Most of the rest of y'all are concluded, there are a few hoping for a Swiss slip up this evening against Serbia (nothing, Mick, Kol, Shane, Sawduck, EN and lorcand).

Declan, Seph and Shane have Cameroon, meaning Shane will definitely lose one with Brazil already qualified....

With the dust settling on the last 16 MOST of the fancied teams qualified meaning no applecarts upturned in terms of scoring.

Morocco of course are the obvious exception but as nobody selected either them OR Spain no points were gained or lost from the Spaniards becoming only the second team in WC history to not score in a penalty shoot out.


Most people have three horses left in the race, Brazil being everyone's choice and Netherlands (9) the next most popular. France also have 8 selections.
Argentina, Portugal and Croatia have two selectors each while little old England only have the one (me).

Mick, ShaneU and nothing only have 2 teams left each.

Most players only have a single team left but Kol has two teams through to the semis in France and Croatia.

With a further 50 bonus points on offer for each finalist he's still in with an outside shot of catching Seph but needs Croatia to beat Argentina.

Unfortunately for most of you, France is the only team Seph has left so he is in pole position to win it out if France go all the way. 

Liz could do it IF France win the world cup with her extra 20 bonus points for correctly guessing the winners.

EN still has a chance to win, slim as it may be but it requires France losing to Morocco and Argentina going all the way.... EN likely also has 10 points to grab from the bonus pot with Costa Rica still conceding the most goals so far, and (maybe) another 25 if Messi bags player of the tournament.

Declan can overtake Seph, but Kol is ahead of him on points and also has Croatia so he would wind up finishing behind Kol should Croatia win the World Cup...
