It's a big undertaking for you Kol, thanks for running this... like I said I learned alot of songs I never had before.

The strictness makes sense, I noticed (on a few I originally picked) that what apeared as live, must have been a dubbed studio version instead. Putting a microphone outside and not even pretending to sing into it (yet having much too perfect and consistent sound) gave them away.

Just 1 player to get back to me and a few re-submissions pending. There has been a surprisingly high number of duplicates.

I will say however the quality so far is superb, thanks everyone.

Once we get all the entries sorted I will open the live game thread and lay out the format, it may not be what you think !

I totally forgot the point of the game (sorry Kol), so looked at the categories last time for my own benefit! In case it's useful...

Round 1 is ROCK SONGS
Round 2 theme is Motown
Round 3 theme is 90s classics
Round 4 theme is 80s classics
Round 5 theme is Disco
Round 6 theme is Love Songs
Round 7 theme Songs from the movies
Round 8 theme UK No. 1s

Thanks @E.N. Yeah I would like to keep categories as general as possible so there are a good selection for everyone to pick from. Even previous categories can be picked again if you wish. Also themes like songs from particular artists are ok as long as they have plenty of well known songs, eg, ABBA, Madonna, Elvis. Even things like boybands, girl groups or duet would work.

Obviously those are just ideas, please pick what you like and we can agree together if it's doable.

I have had to veto some songs category choices already, apologies for that. Main reason being is players will be picking live covers of songs which makes it more difficult to find with somewhat restricted categories. I'm also trying to keep them diverse to cover a wider range of themes.

Anyone wondering whats involved as a player, your only requirement will be to pick your songs at the beginning, if you reach the final, I will ask your to pick another few. You don't need to be available every day to play this, unless you are a judge.
