How on earth are you meant to request a call back from the GP if you can't get through in the first place ?! That's a regular thing round here too Mam, it's pot luck if you get through to make an appointment these days cos they leave the phone off the hook so much, really annoying. RE: The Rant Thread - nothing - 29-10-2021 I'm really lucky with my gp and the whole team working there. The main receptionist can be a bit grumpy at times, and sometimes have to insist on an appointment, they usually accommodate if it's at all possible. A lot of the people in my diabetes education group have woeful service. RE: The Rant Thread - cee_jay - 29-10-2021 GP receptionists are always awful. Mine don't seem to leave it off the hook, but you feel like you are asking for the third secret of Fatima if you ring to ask for an appointment. You almost feel bad for asking them to do their job. How on earth are you meant to request a call back from the GP if you can't get through in the first place ?! It's crazy ! We can't even make an appointment, you've to give a brief description of what's wrong and request a call back , wait for the GP to ring you , phone consult , then he says whether you need to come in or not.... In fairness he's a great GP , but that system is kinda fcuked imo . RE: The Rant Thread - quickbeam - 29-10-2021 The GP I found actually use SwiftQueue for appointments. I've yet to see how they are as a GP but at least appointments seem fairly painless. I don't watch horror movies (but Halloween). I chose The Conjuring. I may regret this. It's BBC 1, just been looking into options, would need to sort a vpn and do some fiddling with the chromecast, from what I can see. I can try the hardware shop up the road tomorrow for a new cable or connectors, so it won't be a long term issue RE: The Rant Thread - Leg End Reject - 31-10-2021 I hope you got some sleep last night, nothing. The build up is so long atm that by the time it finally arrives you have Christmas fatigue and the day can't possibly live up to the expectations.
