My reading of OP was only one swipe of axe for whole game so if you are not the Vig I would want whomever is to hold off until we have better info: 2/9 might get whittled to better odds in a day or so.
If you are the Vig and you've now put that target on your back you could draw wolves munch so might be better to use the axe today. I would wait to do it once we see what is happening at lynch.

Separate but related: I think we get more info from a lynch than a no lynch, if we are not all on the one person, but it could force a reveal if some is an RV and we vote that way...
