In a shocker of a finish Shane ousts long time leader Trigger to take it home. Well done Shane. Ari climbs back to take 2nd place and Lorcand seizes 3rd.
Nothing couldn't quite break away and wins the Paddy's Day spoon.

Anyways, if there is a joint 2nd place they both receive silver medals, meaning 4th place is promoted to receive the Bronze medal, thus standing on the podium Wink

The way it works in Olympics would be if there was a tie for Gold, 2 gold medals would be given and then a Bronze, bypassing the Silver medal. Likewise with 2 second places, a gold and 2 silver would be given with no bronze.

The golf one that @E.N. shows there can really mess up people's bets too, if a bookmaker is paying 5 places and your bet finishes T2 with 5 others the bookmaker won't pay out as there is over 5 places at T2(majority of them will refund bet)

Bookies are like insurance companies, they'll manipulate the rules whatever way they can to avoid paying out.

You're right nothing. I was looking up the joint gold medallists in Tokyo and there was no silver medal presented: the next guy got a bronze.
