I actually did spend a lot of time looking up bands from the Genre & can't say I've been converted.
I was trying to stay away from the 'classics' if I could. Found a newer released song that is probably right for the category but I'm just not feeling it much.
My backup song I think is more progressive metal so that's now out the window.

If it has a guitar & drums, it's Rock
& if it's a bit heavier, it's Metal

We have a great selection of songs for this round. @DejaBoo has not got back to me yet, we will give her till tomorrow morning and move on if there is no reply.
As @Spears won round 1, she has now an extra vote which she can use at any time during voting and up to one hour after voting closes. Extra votes can be used on anyone including yourself. You can collect more extra votes and use them all at once or individually.

Voting is open until 8pm and extra voting until 9pm. If you are noting using your extra vote please let us know and we can move along quicker. We then move to the judges

Very strong round - was planning to thank only 2 or 3, but ended up thanking all but one... and even then it's not because I dislike the song, its just because when the category was announced I thought to myself "bet somebody will submit that and its so obvious I will refuse to thank it on principle"

Maybe 2 days voting per round should be standard? Not always easy for people to squeeze in a full listen of everything between 8am and 8pm. Just my two cents.

This glorious spell of good weather has people out and about more. Everyone has more going on. So yeah wouldn't rush things.
I was fortunate enough to have to wait an hour for someone today, sun was shining and got to listen to the entries at my leisure..won't be a prog rock fan I'm afraid 😳

Oops sorry peeps, I forgot to check in to the game today..
Two days for voting would suit me better @Kol as sometimes I rush through the songs after work & probably don't give them enough time.
Although I will say that in this round, I wasn't that keen on the songs overall. As in, the whole genre not just the songs submitted.
I did enjoy the challenge though & at least I now know what "Progressive Rock" is.
I hope whoever submitted the category enjoyed the round at least 😊

I love this song & was gonna submit it but thought it was too soft for what seemed like true "prog rock" compared to all the other song I looked up. All which seemed like noise over noise

@Spears Nights In White Satin would've gone down well with me, I actually prefer that softer side to Prog Rock in general.
My issue with Tom Sawyer is the same issue I have with Journey's Don't Stop Believin' - in that it hit a resurgence in popularity towards the end of the '00s and was absolutely everywhere for awhile to the point its popularity started rubbing me the wrong way even though I enjoy the song itself.
