If every player has full marks, and captains have full marks, rules don’t say what happens next.

Players will be selected at random from each team in that case and their scores compared. If it's still a tie after all players have been compared I'll flip a coin.

I’d takea coin flip at this stage, it’sa fair way to do this.
shall we all just share the answers, we all get full marks, then the prize is given out via a coin flip?
What day everyone, i have all bar two solved, so we would be working on two, not 10 anagrams

NOTE: It was pointed out to me by a kind person that there was a problem with one of the anagrams, seems to be a copy paste error from my phone. I've updated the announcement to reflect this and also will list it below:

The only thing I think you have wrong is that the prize wouldn't be given at random at that stage, just the winning team is picked at random. Then all the players on the winning team would either win a team prize or someone wins an individual one?

But the odds of the prize going to a faithful at random is the best now as its ever going to be.

WFT is this? Necro goes the the trouble of creating a game with competitions and you want to shit all over it.

RE: Traitors Werewolf - Game Thread - Dora the Explorer - 16-01-2023

I'd suggest the rest of my Team 1ers hold off on submitting answers until later on today anyway.

Can we only submit answers once @Necro ? Or can we change them over time?

Ah then never mind on holding off team 1. Fire in answers whenever you have them.

Thanks for clarifying necro.

I'm strategizing, I've gotten all bar one myself. I'm sure I'll get that before lunch too.
The aim of the game is to root out traitors, how is my suggestion in any way a traitorous act?

Your actions are more the act of a traitor than mine, singling me out as someone who should be on a list. As I said, show me how my game move was the act of a traitor, then maybe I'll take your actions against me as less than that of a traitor throwing dirt at another player who does not deserve it.

Yeah I don't see any specific issue with the random element too it, just wanted to clarify that I think we would only randomising what team wins & after that we don't know? Or am I wrong?

RE: Traitors Werewolf - Game Thread - Gordon the Cook - 16-01-2023

I might have an early lunch, all done, yay.
So Xena doesn't like the idea of fair way to distribute the prize.
anyone else against the idea of all of us submitting all the correct answers, therefore randomizing the prize.

I don't know if you are wrong, but how do we know if there is more traitors on team 1 or team 2?

as none of us know, why not let it go to the rand gods to decide.

It probably is the best play from a purely computational standpoint but I feel it is a bit against the spirit of the game.

Given you've got all the answers why are you waiting? If you think it is the best way of doing it I'm surprised you've held off.

RE: Traitors Werewolf - Game Thread - Zeena Warrior Princess - 16-01-2023

@Gordon the Cook  I'm playing the game as intended by the creator. Leaving it to a random team or player, it could just as easy land on a traitor. If we all play it could be pretty much random anyway. Lets be honest, there are not that difficult, Im sure I have all 10 correct.

I'm not saying you are a traitor just yet my gif was more to sensationalise my point

Because I'd prefer some consensus instead of forcing my game plan in every bodies faces without their consent.

RE: Traitors Werewolf - Game Thread - Countess Markievicz - 16-01-2023

I’m submitted my answers. I don’t have a very strong feeling either way on coin flip suggestion.
Normally in mafia I’d argue to minimise randomisation and allow us to control the outcome, but solving anagrams is a skill unrelated to hunting traitors, and since it’s a team prize and teams and captains were likely chosen at random, adding a further random item is not going to be game changing.
However the competition exists, and Necro has made the effort to create it, so in the spirit of the game, having fun, and the puzzle-solving nature of this board, I’m happy to just play the game.

Just to add, by playing individually, I think Im giving myself the best chance of winning thus not letting a traitor win

Morning all!

RIP @Mick the Drunk

Any fried eggs or hash browns left?

* William the Grave Robber catches up on chat

@Gordon the Cook that feels very much against the spirit of the game to me, and gives us zero information. It would also allow the team with traitors/more traitors to give themselves an advantage - eg lets say there are more on team 1, then the remainder on team 2 just need to submit less than perfect to give the traitors a higher chance of winning whatever the prize is.

Looks to me that you are trying to take an anagram game and force it to your will, either you are a wolf trying to look villagery or you are a villager pushing the parameters to see how people react.
Or maybe you're a wolf pushing the parameters to see how people react or you're a villager trying to look villagery.
The real question is therefore not whether we should or shouldn't simply:
