Or so we thought. He mentioned something about being in Kenya at one point and there was a big cheer from the back, which took him by surprise. So then he mentioned a few other African countries, and every one got a cheer. It's fair to say that we were in a small minority of white Irish people at the gig. ![]() RE: Giggity Giggity - The LIVE List - RSOAPS - 12-02-2022 @E.N. can't remember which thread it was you mentioned you were going to Frank Turner in April in the Academy, but meant to mention ages ago, have a ticket for that one myself. I was tempted to go for Blanch this weekend, but he's sold out there I first saw David O'Doherty supporting Tommy Tiernan in Vicar Street years ago. He was far funnier than Tiernan, but given how unusual his act was I didn't expect him to become as big as he has. We've got Catherine Bohart, Iain Stirling and Rob Gilbert in April, My Dad Wrote a Porno and Nish Kumar in May and Joe Lycett in August lined up. I'm sure we'll squeeze another couple in at some stage over the summer. RE: Giggity Giggity - The LIVE List - Trigger - 22-02-2022 (21-02-2022, 05:28 PM)Zaph Wrote:(21-02-2022, 02:38 PM)E.N. Fong - 31-03-2022 I was meant to be going to The Antlers on April 8th but it was cancelled. Otherwise I have tickets for: Warpaint - 14th May Beach House - 21st May Dađi Freyr- 2nd June Jacob Collier - 7th June Sinéad O'Connor- 17th July (expecting this one will probably be cancelled) Wolf Alice - 30th August Beach House is the one I'm really looking forward to. I've seen them twice already but am a much bigger fan now than I was before, so this will be a big deal. I wanted to go see Róisín Murphy but it sold out. I'd have liked to go to Florence and the Machine but will not make the mistake of going on my own again (have seen her twice and both times involved lots of "love everybody, tell the person you're with you love them and hug them".... #foreveralone). And I'm contemplating either Primal Scream or Sharon van Etten in June (they're on the same night!) and Angel Olsen in October. Annoyingly I really wanted to see Goldfrapp live and they are finally playing in Ireland....but only as a support act, to Duran Duran (who I'm not really pushed about). Missed on Jacob Collier, though I'm keeping an eye in case any tickets become available. And I will skip Florence too - couldn't stop laughing at your comment hahaha. Jokes aside, I have The Cure the night after Florence and 2 nights in a row are getting increasingly difficult 🙃😄. P.S. I was one of the lucky, and got a ticket for Roisin - a seated one mind you.
