Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought.
I never liked some of his big hits (like Baby Jane, Do You Think I'm Sexy etc.) but some of the selections here had an interest.

@Butty Brennan - because I love the original version by Bonnie Tyler
@Spears - has that nice 80s new wave sound - sounds vaguely familiar but I can't figure if I heard it before or someone "borrowed" it or covered it.
@ari101 - because it features Ms Dolly Parton
@Jluv - it was the second song I had in mind before deciding on his duet with Tina Turner
@Rachel Stevens on a Pogo Stick - for the memories: It's from the Out of Order album I am pretty sure I had bought the cassette back in the day (I was 16 at the time)

Well I had below zero interest in this round & only put a smidgen of effort into it.
I've been surprised in other games with acts that I'm not into, so I'm open to the challenge & I look forward to the other submissions. But this round did nothing for me I'm afraid. I just don't like his voice at all.
Felt like not voting for any of them but I end up giving a few pity votes just so I didnt appear to be mea.n
I suppose if I was forced to listen to any of them again, @Irish Aris wasn't so bad with the help of Tina.
Loved the video for @DejaBoo's song.
The only good thing that came from this round was that we got it out of the way, & we can move on now

I think most of Rod Stewarts songs are perfectly fine, but I mostly feel indifferent to his stuff, there's no wow factor in any of his music, it's all quite generic and I feel the same about most of them, so I struggled to give votes to any really.
The few standouts for me were...
@Jluv I forgot that it was Rod Stewart that did this one with Sting and Bryan Adams. Had I remembered, I probably would've submitted it myself, because it's a cracker
@aaronjennings please tell me you submitted this as a nod to Star Trek: Enterprise? I'm one of the few people who love the Enterprise theme song, so this was my favourite of the lot - would've gotten a vote if it were in contention for a round win

That was the first version of the song I'd heard, didn't even realise it was a cover until years later. Absolutely love the Russell Watson version

I was today years old when I learned it wasn't originally written for Enterprise, and the Russell Watson version I could listen to all day long... It's one of those songs that feeds my soul...
