Actually, apart from some very intense overnight wind, we got off very lightly. The town and county certainly took a hit with power outages and fallen..

Okay - maybe overlap would be more correct. It doesn't really bother me at all. It was more an observation than anything else.
I think if a thread is active then it doesn't really matter if there's some overlap - there are so few regular site visitors engaging with what's on offer...
