No idea if there's any other gamers on here, if not this thread will be my own inane ramblings.

Currently playing Metroid: Zero Mission. I want to finish this and Metroid Fusion before Metroid Dread comes out in October. I've only ever played Super Metroid before and I haven't even finished that one.
I only play mobile games these days, klondike and diggys adventure. Nothing that involves any skill, talent or concentration. Have a wii and a ps2, but only dance or exercise based games (all unused for a long time)
@TheValeyard is a gamer.
Haven't played anything since Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Played the Irish DLC and really enjoyed it.
I finished the revenge of shinobi, not many people can say that

One of the mega games, I had the inferior columns, super hangon and italia 90
I have been predominantly playing MLB the show 21 since release. Tried to have a game of modern Warfare last night and I got 10 mins in and I couldn't handle the speed. Really need to ease myself back in.

Planning to start Cyberpunk on Saturday night. Bought it at launch but was just too buggy but going to dive in the weekend

God that was the most frustrating one alright. Did anyone ever work out the point of the game pac

Another one I loved for Megadrive was Soleil. Not many people have heard of it but as an old style 2 player RPG it was awesome fun to play with a mate.

I think we rented columns at least once a month, loved it. Various sonic games and micromachines were firm favourites too.
So many mega drive owners here. I only had ever had nintendo

Started with a gameboy and really wanted the NES but could only afford the MegaDrive. Stuck with that till the PS1 came along then.

I did borrow a NES from a mate for a couple of weeks and loved it though.

Could only find the shitty American slogan, but you the picture.

Finally finished RDR2, what a game. Absolutely brilliant.

Playing some X4 these days.

I was looking at that a while ago. It's like Elite: Dangerous?

Finished Red Dead 2 a while ago, loved it. Very slow pace to other games which turns a lot of people off.
Yeah, bit like Elite Dangerous, but purely single player, little more buggy, no planets to land on,
but,
build your own fleets, fly capital ships, build space stations, mine resources, do missions, storylines, etc.
Sounds right up my alley
currently playing oddworld soulstorm, and am unfortunately stuck at the artillery shelling scene, and can't get past it so my interest has wained.
Currently remembering that the reason I never finished LoZ Skyward Sword was because it's shite and bogged down with crafting minutiae and dreary cut scenes, not because I was busy, and all the HD facelifts in the world can't hide how badly aged it was the first time around.

If only they had thought to include Blast Processing....
Playing flight sim. It's a beautiful game. Tutorials are fucked though and I can't learn what to do. Just flying around for a while and then crashing on landing mostly.

The flights where you have to figure out where to go on your own are so chill and difficult
which flight sim games, there are so many.
Loved atari st, battle of britain, their finest hour, so engrossing.
harrier combat simulatpr was okay, not as full a product as BOB. But VTOL was cool.

the mantas in carrier command where a great buzz, but very much more light hearted.

have played many sims after these, but none can bring back the joy of these.
Microsoft flight sim. The most recent one.

Haven't played any before so nothing to compare it to

Think I'm still on part 4, which I was a week after release.  I've an awful habit of leaving games and forgetting about them

Oh yeah I'm terrible at doing this. I bought it when it came out on release, got sidetracked by 50 other games and only now got around to finishing it.
Only problem is when you leave a game that long, you forget the mission, plot, controls, etc and end up getting lost and killed very quickly.
I'm also playing some Anno1800, if anyone is into some gorgeous colonial city building. It's a lot of fun.
Anyone having issues with switch joy con drift. I just tried a new fix and it's been about 90 percent successful.

Highly recommend.

I love Syndicate, used to have them all on PC..

Another brilliant one that was discontinued was Hooligans storm over europe
On a bit of a Final Fantasy kick recently. Played through 15 for the first time last month, and actually enjoyed it. Back in 14 at the moment now. Might bust out one of the really old ones then for nostalgia sake.
15 is good but clearly unfinished. Haven't played 11 or 14, never been into MMO's. 13 is my most disappointing game ever.
7 was one of the greatest games ever made
7-10 are all brilliant, 12 not so much as it felt like an MMO to me. I've only played a few hours of 1-6

14 starts slow, but the latter expansions are really, really good FF games. There's certainly MMO elements, but you can do a lot of it easily through the group finder tools, and play 90% of it as a more single player experience. It also has one of my all time favorite FF villains as well. And I think a huge amount of it is F2P as well (I think the base game and the first expansion). The base game drags a bit, but once you hit the expansions, it's probably the strongest FF game I've played in a decade.
I haven't played the recent iterations. I think I have 15 lying around somewhere but found it hard to get into so kinda put it on the backburner and never went back to it. I remember playing a small bit of 14 at one point too.

7 I've played and completed about 20 times. 8 not so much, I like the first two discs but the latter parts I'm not a fan of.

9 is class, probably my fave game of the series to actually play.

I love 10 as well, but there's a point where it goes from zero to 90 in terms of difficulty no matter what level you're at (Zanarkand Mountains I think) that drives me insane every time I play it. The story is so good in 10 though as well, which is what I mainly play games for
Tried playing The Ascent on windows store, it's free on gamepass. It's a cyperpunk shooter and was really good in the short time I've got to play it. Unfortunately it's crashed three times on me and stutters badly whenever explosions happen. I heard the steam and xbox versions aren't as bad.
Final Fantasy 7 was my game. As in I know I will never play a game as much or care as much about one as I did that one at that time in my life.

Worked my first job picking fruit for a few weeks one summer and then quit because I realized I could afford to buy myself a PS2 and had decided that would be how I would spend the rest of the summer, playing FF7 Smile . Didn't have a PS1 or any form of console before that so it was a big deal to be able to not only buy that for myself and get it when it was pretty new but also get it back when my family didn't even have a DVD player in our home so even my folks were jealous and asked to use it.

In May / June the elementary school I work in was forced to start teaching from home. Around the same time we bought a new TV for our living room. So I grabbed up the old big screen TV stuck it in my new "Home office" for my birthday bought myself an office chair and then looked into storage and pulled out my old SNES (bought on a trip to Japan a few years ago) with Street fighter and Super Mario Bros, my PS2 mentioned above and the PS3 I got second hand right as the PS4 was coming out. Immediately set it all up together and then re-completed GTA V (What a game).

In July I had a few weeks off, and now that I had all this set up took the plunge and although I only get max 1hr of potential game time a day if I am lucky *young kid) bought a 2nd hand PS4 on the cheap and then for Fathers Day (was two days ago here) got Red Dead Redemption 2 as a gift...oh my, here we go again, this game feels special.

and that's my story pac
Finished FF7 remake over the weekend. That was some good game!
Jesus Christ, the "make over" in Wall Market. I was in tears laughing. ?

I must go back to to original one and kill emerald and ruby weapons. Or try to....
I'm playing Witcher 3,Cyber punk and Assassins Creed Valhalla atm, going between the three of them atm.

Huge fan of the final fantasy games, FF7 is my favorite game of all time, followed by 9 in second place, I never finished 8 but I did like it somewhat, must go back and finish it sometime, 10 another I must finish, like necro said there's fierce difficulty spikes in places and that put me off it, never played 11, I loved 12 and the whole political thing it had going on, 13 was hmmm, not sure what to make of it if I'm honest, I played 14 for a bit but got bored, 15 I absolutely loved every minutes of it, loved the bromance the four boi's had going on and I thought the summoning was class! FF7 remake I loved, I feel they did it justice and gave it the love and care it deserved, just a pity we have to wait for the next installment whenever that will be, I was looking well in it as well Wink. Huge fan of the music in the FF games as well, Nobuo is a class composer.
