Thinking of getting one also, which package did you go for? Its going to be close to Christmas when they're shipped?
Not shipping till Q2 according to the booking. Probably due to so many preorders so that could change.

Went for the big one.. Anti glare is a must for me

Loved Red Dead 2, have played it through three times now. Also a huge fan of both The Last of Us games. Not quite as epic as stuff like FF7 or Witcher/Red Dead but they're still very enjoyable. Now if only Rockstar would get their fingers out for a new GTA I'd be set.
Couldn't get into red ded 2.

Never played the first one
Currently playing through the remastered Mass Effect trilogy. Starting number 3.

Liked RDR 1 a lot, but didn't really get in to RDR 2. Still I'll probably go back to it at some stage.

I bought the Mass Effect trilogy too.
I have played ME2 and ME3 years ago (I think in PS3), really looking forward to revisit it after my holidays.
Yeah I played 1 and 2 years ago, Then lost my save game so never bothered with the 3rd. So looking forward to playing that, though I'd forgotten most of the other games anyway.

The remaster is really good. ME1 still has its flaws though

still a lot left to fix in that game that was promised
I never had an Amiga and this looks super cool. Bit on the pricey side though.
It does include one of the best games ever, The Chaos Engine

More of a simmer here. Got myself an Xbox and Microsoft Flight Simulator for my birthday. Hey, when the choice is spending 1000€ plus for a PC gaming rig or 300€ for a console that delivers similar or better performance, the choice is clear Tongue Now there just needs to be some decent peripherals, the Xbox controller is a pain in the neck for flying...

don't know the chaos engine,
but another world was a all time favorite, speedball was super fun and worms was a multiplayer favorite on the ps2.
battle chess is brilliant, but may be a little distracting for serious games of chess, as you do stupid moves just to see the fighting sequences.

Far cry 3 free

I thought I had play this years ago when downloading, but it must have been far cry the original.
When i installed, it would not work until a day later, some licensing issue, but it kept me up until 3:30 last night, so i'm defo having fun with this freebie.

Offer only open another 1.5 day, and its yours for keeps.
Far Cry 2 is the best in the series, so good

The new PES is free on the psn currently. Looks like it might be a demo version at this stage. I dont have a ps so not sure.

They have rebranded as efootball. Havent play it since the ps2 days, used to love it. They have gone downhill in recent times it seems.
On the hunt for a PS5 at the moment, it's amazing that after almost a year everywhere bar the scalpers are still completely out of stock Sad

Supposed to be decent drops in the next week or two so if anyone spots anything holler at me Big Grin
Sorted on the PS5 front, Smyths dropped some in store pre-orders this morning so I got in my car at 8.30am and hammered it into Sligo for store opening. Was 6th in the queue and got what I wanted, which at the end of the day is all that matters. Due for collection between 16th and 24th of this month...

I finished far cry 6 last night, I love the series and enjoyed 6 to a certain extent but they really need to change it up now and do something different for the next one.
Far Cry 2 was the best one, the series went bonkers after that
Said i'd try this out before posting.

Aven Colony

free until 11/11/2021 at 4:00 PM

https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p/aven-colony

Its a resourse management game.

Installed it Friday night and after being defeated in first game by not understanding that that colonists are a rare comodity and spread them way too thin and the all were starving and dying, so i abandoned that attempt and tried again with this new insight.

I can recommend this as worth trying out.

I'm now about to start the 3rd mission, discounting the 2 training sims, 5th if you wqnt to include them, and saved the game for tomorrow or maybe next weekend.
Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning is free on PS Plus this month, worth tossing into the library if you're into open world RPGs. It's like Fable and Skyrim had a baby together Big Grin Combat system prob a little more satisfying than either too
Got the GTA remaster there this morning, looking forward to giving it a whirl on the PS5. I'm really, REALLY tempted with Ratchet and Clank too I'm hearing great things about it.
