Tongue
Are you seriously doubting my music knowledge?  Tongue
@ShaneU I'm just trying to rattle you and put you off your game! We have to try everythiing with that big lead you have.
The annoying thing for me is that there are a number of questions I knew the answer to, but I did not see them in time to answer first or, worse still, at all!
John Lennon
John Lennon

4. Which singer died in June 2020, 83 years after her first studio recordings?
Her first studio recording was in 1937?

Way before my time.
Edith Piaf
Aretha Franklin
Doris Day - pure guess
@Kol - Out of curiosity, is there a maximum time limit on getting a right answer before you give out the answer and move on to the next question? I'm just thinking of a situation where nobody actually comes up with the right answer. I'm sure it won't happen so this is probably theoretical.  Big Grin

About 2 hours, may vary though depending if I'm at home or not.

This one may have been answered correctly already though it has produced the most unique answers so far Smile

Edit, actually there are only 3 so far, maybe not the most

It may or may not have been answered correctly already! It may or may not have been the most given answers, but it is the most unique combination!

4. Which singer died in June 2020, 83 years after her first studio recordings?

Vera Lynn?
I think Lizzy has it there, actually
Ah well. I'm sure We'll Meet Again.  Big Grin

I'll get my coat.  Blush
Answer Vera Lynn

Thought I had you all caught there, well played Liz

5. Which member of the Bee Gees has stayed alive the longest – Barry, Robin or Maurice Gibb?
doris day
maurice gibb
Barry Gibb
Barry
Barry is still alive
Answer Barry

6. What was unusual about My Sweet Lord replacing More than a Woman as UK number one in January 2002?
It was the same artist
They both featured artistes that were already dead. George Harrison for My Sweet Lord and The Bee Gees (two-thirds of them) for More than a Woman.
Both had been number one before?
Dead Artists
Barry is still Staying Alive  Wink Big Grin
Both songs are pretty decent

That's very unusual for UK number ones Wink
I'll go for them being dead. Seeing as thats the theme of the round. (If only I'd thought of that sooner!)
I will give it to Declan, a deceased artist was replaced by another deceased artis at number one. George Harrison replaced by Aaliyah,  not the Bee Gees song

My wait for you to miss one goes on, will it ever happen?

7. The internet felt that which year, when Prince, David Bowie and Lemmy from Motörhead (amongst many other celebrities) died, was cursed?
2016 I believe, although I'm pretty sure Lemmy is the odd one out, dying in December 2015!

If you mean me, I missed plenty! If you mean ShaneU, he got at least one wrong as I followed his lead on that one!
I meant all of you, all questions so far have been answered by at least one player

I thought it was going to happen with the Vera Lynn question!
2015? No clue
Shane said 2015. So I will follow blindly like a sheep.
I'll go 2016 as I believe that was the famous CBB
I'll thank a ad for a coin for Vera Lynn on tv for my guess
