Welcome to Survive the song intros
This time, I will be presenting audio files with song intros, you will have to name the songs.
Depending on how many play, I will limit eliminations to a max of 2 per round. I will take into account your scores in previous rounds to break ties.
You all start with 4 tokens which you can use at any point.
Year: This token will give you the year of ONE song that you are stuck on.
Artist: This token will give you the artist of ONE song you are stuck on
Piggyback: This token lets you copy the answer of ONE song of another player (You can choose the player)
Assassin: This token can win you all the remaining tokens from another player, if you play it in a round on a particular player and they get eliminated, you earn their tokens.
The preliminary round will be posted today and will run until Sunday evening.
No one will be eliminated in this round, your scores will count towards tie breakers if needed later. You cannot use any tokens in this round.
As usual, no Google, Shazam, or other methods of help and please PM your answers. Chat away on this thread though please don't say too much about your particular answers.

Thanks for the invite, but considering how badly I did in the lyrics game, and since I only know three of these, I think I'd be better off giving this one a miss and leave the pros to it

I'm in, but intros are a real weakness of mine. I recognise them instantly, but I'm so bad at placing the actual song
I notice it when I go to gigs. It can be a band I love, starting a song I love and the crowd will go crazy. Ten seconds later I'll work it what it is 🙈
We have 9 players so far and liz said she would pm me also.
I'm happy to leave it an extra day if the weekend is not a great time for ppl to get an entry in.

I probably know the name of it but there's a distinct whiff of 80's hair metal off it which means I've likely never listened to it
