I was looking for root. I was going to clue under but I thought "brush under the carpet" so switched

OMG, I was going to go for Root as well, but then Brush crossed my mind

It was such a difficult set of words though, I was struggling from the start. The blue set was difficult too

Who knew not owning a dog would be a hinderance to codenames?!

Also I really wanted to link Jet and Death with Black, as in Jet black hair and the black death.. but with Face as the assassin I was worried I might cause an international incident if someone picked it
