Hello and welcome everyone to the Sheep World Cup!!

In this game players will be pitted against one another to do combat in sheep format!!

The winners and runners up of each group will move on to contest the knock out stages - again all done via sheep!!

Eventually we will crown the Sheep World Cup winner after all is said and done

But fear not those who are knocked out early, you can still take home the normal top spot prize.... or indeed the booby prize

But don't worry about all the ins and outs of the organisation, that's for me to worry about.

To enter all you need to do is answer the below list of questions.

Remember in Sheep we are looking for the most popular answer.... and google etc is permitted.

Due to the nature of the competition I need a minimum of 16 players... so the game won't start until I have that many!! More are welcome and with an upper limit of 32 there's plenty of space for everyone...

We shall kick things off with a live group stage draw tonight from 8pm!!!

So with 20 players there will be four groups of 5 players to begin with.

Each player will face off head to head against another of their group in a round robin format (for the uninitiated that means you'll face everyone in your group once).

The scores will be calculated by your sheep entries for a particular set of questions - eg Matchday 1 will be questions 1 and 2, Matchday 2 will be questions 3 and 4, etc.

As there are 5 in each group you'll all get one round of questions off (ie no match on one particular matchday).

3 points are given for a win, 1 for a draw (only possible in the group stage) and you get a big fat zero for a loss Tongue

In the event of two players being tied on points at the end of the proceedings placement will be determined as follows in the order of:

Score difference
Head to Head
Number of total Sheep so far
Total Sheep Score

The top 2 from each group after all 5 matchdays are completed will progress to the quarter finals - the rest are eliminated. But fear not!!!

The answers provided by all 20 players will be used for the quarter finals, semis and the final also.

Because of the different format I won't be posting the cumulative scores each round like a regular sheep, though I will post a final table after the winner of the Cup is determined.

Draws are possible in the group stages as I previously said, but not in the knock-outs. If the scores are level after the particular set of questions, I will countback the number of sheep both players have obtained throughout the game - Golden Sheep if you will Wink

If we STILL have a tie, then and only then will I use their total score to determine a winner.
