When I first clicked in, for a second I stupidly thought the picture of the buses was the starting picture
How do you know it isn't...?

That would be hilarious! 🤣
YESSSSSSS (I may be working part of the time, but hope to see the reveal)
I mentioned a while ago that I was reading a book called
The Phantom Atlas, which is a collection of real - but inaccurate - maps throughout history. One of those maps was the inspiration for our starting picture:
First published in 1665, this is a colourised illustration of how
Athanasius Kircher theorised that all the world’s volcanoes were connected by tunnels and chambers of fire underneath the Earth’s surface
Deja did predict in the sign-up thread that volcanoes would make an appearance. Little did they know at the time how accurate that statement was
I can see where my description came from, but I might have gone a tad awry with my paint. 🤣
That looks so familiar 😹😹
This looks like it's going to be a very interesting reveal ...🤣
A quick reminder of the Order Of Play, before we get started:
Not involved but I'll still take a peek at the reveal!

Hilda bravely stepped up to the describing plate first, and after accusing me of cruelty for my choice of starting picture, provided us with:
Quote:Spores inside circle, inside frame with cherub on each corner
An early change in scale and subject matter, as volcanoes are replaced by spores. I’m impressed that the cherubs survived, I thought they would be very easy to over-look
At least she didn't say it looked like Covid-19, which I was worried about

Not only does
Ari come in as the first painter of the game, but they provide us with their very first computer-drawn picture for an MS Paint game. And what an excellent, vibrant picture it is:
The change of subject matter is complete, as Ari’s beautiful mural features some psychedelic mushrooms front and centre. I can’t imagine where they got the inspiration from…
That is fecking brilliant! Love the colours !
wow, very well done ari!!!

Lorcan was our next describer, and we take one step closer to Wonderland as they clarify just what type of mushrooms they are:
Quote:Framed- large multicoloured toadstools in black circle, cherubs on corners
An almost identical description to Hilda’s, as Lorcan picks up on every detail
nice description, Lorcan!

Hilda once described an alien for me as a man with a coronavirus head. 🤣

I genuinely hadn't a clue what it was.
Note to self - never be first describer. 😂

In fairness he did look like a walking Super Spreader 😂

Leg End made swift work of their painting, and while initially unfazed by the description, did become worried by the fact that circles don’t have corners, and in their own words, the sumo-wrestling cherubs in the corner:
Pretty much the same as the previous picture, I think you’ll agree. The toadstools are no longer multi-coloured, instead we have toadstools of different colours, but otherwise no major changes
