There seems to be surge again, take care everyone
How short of a time does it take to feel any symptoms of covid, once you are exposed?
(05-01-2023, 11:45 PM)DejaBoo Wrote: [ -> ]How short of a time does it take to feel any symptoms of covid, once you are exposed?

I read the average incubation for newer strains is about 3-4 days. But I believe there is still a fairly wide possible range. Hope you are not exposed 🤗
Thanks Ari - yeah I was.

Thanks ari... for some people it is a life or death situation.
I joined the club for 1st time on Thursday! doing OK but chest is a bit sore today, kinda like someone is pushing in on the middle of it. Anyone else have that?
Hopefully it'll clear up in no time, I was fortunate to only get mild symptoms, but everyone gets it differently

Which reminds me, must book my 2nd booster appointment tomorrow

Yeah, I had that the first time, and real shortage of breath if I tried to do anything

Hope you're over it soon enough

Thanks folks, yeah I'm ok, could definitely be worse, no other symptoms really, just tight chest and short of breath sometimes

Eight weeks later...

[attachment=1080]

We went to London for the weekend, guessing I got it on the plane home. Can't believe it, thought I'd be bulletproof for a few months after the last dose 🙈
Oh, come on @E.N. that's unbelievably unlucky. . .
Hopefully light symptoms so close to the last one.

I still wear a mask when travelling, the one time I caught it was on a trip. . .
How many times you had it now @E.N. take care

Yeah, probably should have done 🙈

Very stuffed up and have a hell of a cough, but otherwise not too bad. Didn't even think of it given how recently I'd had it, I've been to Tesco, the post office... 😬

Oh good lord E.N  shock that's awful. Take care  Heart

I got it about two months ago for the first time and as bad as it was, I felt it could have been a lot worse. I had a lot of not so nice symptoms but I didn't have any shortness in breath thankfully. That was what really scared me about ever getting it.
3 years since the pandemic
3 years since i was able to drop a ridiculous commute and now work 90% from home!

Round 2 for me, possibly caught it on the plane on my way back home
In hindsight I should have worn a mask, but thought "what are the chances?" 🙃🤪

That's just bad luck @Irish Aris as most are not wearing masks anymore and most do not seem to be getting Covid at all these days. I had it once that I know of during March 2022 and nothing since. Symptoms were similar to a bad cold and did not last too long - Omricron variant I assume. I got all the vaccines that I was due. Covid seems to be on the wane. You do not hear of "outbreaks" anymore despite the lack of any restrictions.
Hope it's not too bad @Irish Aris
It definitely is on the way out, so I wouldn't blame yourself for not wearing a mask. I never do now

There isn't many wearing masks anymore, even hospitals I think aren't mandatory, I still wear if I remember in certain settings

Take it easy, hopefully mild for you @Irish Aris
My sleep is so fcuked up since having it and I think the vaccines and boosters just have added to it worsening, I don't think I have had a proper full night sleep in years ( as in 6 to 8 hours straight )

Any tips or recommendations be grateful please
I know that some people have recently have had a bad reaction to the booster vaccines, and worse than Covid itself.
The Eris variant seems to be here, numbers on the increase with some hospital having restrictions
Hello covid my old friend,
You are not welcome yet again.
