Review
I have a confession to make, until recently, I didn’t like Jack Nickelson. Therefore, any movie he starred in I wasn’t interested in. Saying that, I had seen quite a few. I don’t think I had watched this one in full before, I could only recall parts of it. Great acting by Nickelson and Hunt, though the latter I’m not a big fan of. The support cast did great also, including the dog, again I’m not a dog fan but it played it’s part fine here. Some great scenes, great acting, lots of humour. Where it loses points from me is in the genre and the runtime. I don’t really watch drama that much and it could have taken 20-30 mins of the runtime. Of course, if I had directed this, it would unlikely have been an Oscar winner. An interesting choice and these are the kind of nominations that make running these games fun.
Trivia
The most recent film to win both Best Actor and Best Actress at the Academy awards.
