Review
First time watching this movie. Didn’t know too much about it other than it was German and there was a girl running in it as the title suggests. Very experimental and it is nice to watch something completely different. So the basic story is done 3 times with different results. The interactions with strangers in each of them leads to different results for each stranger, the butterfly effect. This is shown by a series of flashing pictures. That is the subplot though. The main story is nicely done also. Lola really wants to help her boyfriend, running through Berlin, robbing a bank, going to a casino..ect. Probably a movie you could watch over and over as it is quite short. I gave it a 6 though I think it might be better than that if I had time to rewatch it. Good movie and an interesting pick, I probably never would have watched this one otherwise. Oh, forgot to mention, a killer soundtrack.
Trivia
As well as writing and directing the film, Tom Tykwer also composed the techno music which features star Franka Potente on vocals.
