Quote:Hi Kol,
Wow! The screw got tightened there!!
Well as I like to fly by the seat of my pants in quizzes and will always take a gamble I'm just going with B.
B for Bacon!
Also when I actually think about 'Tremors', I see a desert / wild west setting which fits Nevada while the other 3 all say town or city settings to me.

I'll go for...
A Scream
But I really only know that it is not C 😅
Quote:B. Tremors
Nevada is a desert, I've seen the other 3 and from what I remember they weren't in a desert location.
I haven't seen or heard of Tremors though ...
Quote:B. Tremors
Man I loved the first one growing up.. must have watched it hundreds of times!
The first 2 were great fun, 3rd was ok
Quote:Hello Kol,
Apologies for the delayed response, I was at the cinema all day.
Very very lucky today, I only saw Tremors (which is the correct answer) a few weeks ago so some details are still fresh in my head.

Quote:I'm going to go with USA.
They have hosted summer Olympics 4 times (Atlanta, LAx2, St Louis). Have they hosted the winter Olympics 4 times? I know it's been at Lake Placid twice and in Salt Lake City, have they held it once more?
But UK has hardly hosted the winter Olympics. And I don't think France has hosted it 4 times. Japan k have no idea about.
Quote:Quote:Good morning Kol,
I'll go by process of elimination as I don't know much about Winter Olympics.
Not France or Japan, if I recall correctly they have hosted 2 Summer Olympics each (France possibly 3).
And I can't remember how many times UK have hosted summer Olympics, but I doubt that they have hosted 4 winter Olympics.
So I'll guess USA.
I remember St Louis, Atlanta and Los Angeles (possibly twice??) for Summer Olympics.
CheersQuote:Damn this is tough. Let me see if I can figure it out.
I'm going to discard GB as I don't think it's them, maybe 2 regular olympics and 1 winter.
Japan also seems unlikely, I reckon 2 max there too.
That leaves USA and France. I think France might be in the 2 to 3 group.
USA, well there was Atlanta, that's the only one I can remember, but I can imagine they've had quite a few...
Ok
A: USA
Quote:USA please
I think I know all the summer Olympics and think it's the only one on four
UK is 3, and definitely no winters
France and Japan are 2
US has had St Louis, LA twice and Atlanta.
I can believe it's had four winters too, there's definitely been Lake Placid and Salt Lake City
So yeah, USA please Smile
Heading on hols to Center Parcs tomorrow, I think I'll still be online but if you haven't heard from me by the time you're chasing people I'll have answer B until I'm killed off please Tongue
Quote:Audience fun times 😅
So I'm pretty sure it is not B or D.
The UK has only hosted 1 games in my living memory and does not have sufficient weather for winter games I think.
Japan it is even longer since they had Summer games, so to have held four (not considering winter ones) seems unlikely. Can't speak the their weather for a Winter Games.
My memory is also telling me I've heard comments over the higher number of times Europe and US has held games vs. other places... Maybe I am imagining that?
France does have the weather for Winter games, and I really pay a lot less attention to their location, and it also probably has had more than one Summer games... but 4? Given it is every 4 years and only restarted in modern times around the turn of the 20th C would seem a lot for a country it's size...
So:
A USA
It has the winter weather, and I know I remember it having a number of Summer games (even if they were before my time), I suppose I'm just worried it might be more than 4 each, but this is my best guess!!!
Sorry for my essay 🤣
Quote:Hi Kol,
The pressures definitely mounting.
Once again I'm going to risk it and not use a lifeline.
I know for certain that the USA has hosted the Summer Olympics 4 times being St. Louis, Atlanta and twice in Los Angeles. I have no idea how many times they have hosted the Winter Olympics but I'm willing to chance it on the Summer alone.
My answer is A.
Regards,
Quote:Answer is A) USA
It's never the UK or France, don't think Britain have ever hosted a winter olympics and certainly not four summer olympics.
Japan is possible but I don't think so. Sometimes the most obvious answer is in fact correct.
Quote:The only one I think I can comfortably eliminate is Great Britain, but I want to tae a chance and keep my lifeline
I'll say USA, final answer
Quote:I haven't a clue, Kol!
I'd like to keep lifelines in case I somehow get to 32k, so a guess it is. 😁
I'll go with the most obvious one, the USA.
Quote:Ok, so I'm pretty sure that London 2012 was only the third time that the Summer Olympics were held in the UK, and it wouldn't be a great climate for Winter games.
Tokyo 2020 was possibly the second time the Summer Games were in Japan.
That leaves France and USA.
France are next up in 2024 but I'm taking it as the question reads "has hosted" and not "has been awarded/selected/picked" so excluding that that would mean France would need to have held four, and is up next for a fifth. That is a good few for a
USA had Atlanta 1996, St Louis 1904 and then you have Los Angeles. The Raiders used to play football in the Coliseum and that has the Olympic Rings on the front gate so LA had at least one.
Winter Olympics I haven't a breeze. France has the Alps, USA has a good few different places it could be.
I don't think France is big enough to have held 8 (or more) Games so United States of America

That comes up in quizzes all the time 🤣
If that one came up in a real millionaire game that I was on I'd be rubbing my hands with glee and counting my moolah before even answering, that's how confident I am with my answer.
Also think everyone will get it.
Quote:Hi Kol,
Q11 - C - Paul McCartney
Any Phone A Friends, you can tell them:
I am fairly confident on this one. There were conspiracy theories going round at the time that Paul McCartney had died and that they got someone to pose as him. One of the "signs" put forward, as far as I can recall from reading about this, was the fact that Paul was barefoot in the Abbey Road cover. The other Beatles in the photo were supposed to be having various funeral functions according to the conspiracy theorists.
Thanks,
Quote:Kol,
Fluke.
This came up in a quiz I did online somewhere recently. Probably when I was looking up questions for the Mastermind event. I guessed it right then but now I know 100% the answer is Paul McCartney ©.
