Clue: The answer is something we all learned in school

I think I will need to go back to school because I don't remember anything which might relate to the image.
I have tried a nonsensical jumble of 'Ireland for the Irish', 'Irish Sea for Eire', '40 shades of green' and tried to make something out of 'Ireland's Eye' etc. Nope, going nowhere...

The picture is indeed the Irish Sea
However, Ireland does not appear anywhere in the answer
And the thing we learned in school was not learned in Georgraphy or History
Think about the orientation of the letters, and where they are in relation to the picture
I could have equally done this clue with any number of IEs and EIs, I just chose a random number to hint that there are multiple examples of each

Some clues:
* The top image shows the correct 'interpretation' of the phrase- the difference is where the word 'help' appears.
* Think of synonyms for 'help'.

I have been lacking imagination recently, even struggling to come up with a semi-usable catchphrase! Hope you all 'enjoy' this (relatively straightforward?) one
