if you apply sun cream, you should be able to make short dashes through the sun light and not get burnt. I believe factor 30 should give you enough protection to be able to be in direct sunlight for about 5 minutes will little to no burning.
With the use of umbrellas, you might be able to extend that window. If you begin so see your stockpiles of beer or ice dwindle, the above info could save your life.

I have factor 50 stocked up in case I do need to go out, plenty of ice in the freezer (though should make a couple more lots, got more bags in the last shop) and keeping my wee portable fan charged.
Never thought of an umbrella! Should really get myself a wide brimmed hat.

Took an hour and a half to get my numbers and put everything up, shattered now. Some stiff competition, especially in the paintings and photographs. Going back after lunch for a proper look around (all the tents are closed for judging for now) and to see if my friend or I won anything
