Struggling to stay awake but waiting on a tesco delivery... Hurry up!

Think I'll be having a duvet day

Did you end up having one?

Table-side here, just transcribing some of my recent notes into a more organised format. Exciting, I know…

I did indeed, and looks like I'm staying in for another couple of days. Friend tested positive, though I'm negative at the moment.

Wrong thread!

Hope you're ok, nothing. Plenty of rest and fluids if you test positive.

Email from the National Lottery, win on the Euromillions, check your ticket ... blah, blah, blah. Try not to get your hopes up but still hoping anyway. Log in and 6 miserable Euro. 6!

You can get 0.0% Gin now, non alcoholic if anyone would pay and drink it

RE: We don't know where we are, but at least we know what to do - Kol - 15-06-2022

You couldn't pay me to drink gin, it tastes disgusting

RE: We don't know where we are, but at least we know what to do - jp liz v1 - 15-06-2022

I love pink gin with tonic or lemonade, ice and strawberries

RE: We don't know where we are, but at least we know what to do - ari101 - 15-06-2022

I've tried it, given I douse all gin with large quantities of strong tonic I have to say it tasted much the same as drinking alcoholic gin to me 🤣 Not worth the price tag. I like some low alcohol beers and a bottle of Nosecco, though, like all fizzy sugary things, I have enough of that quite quickly. Someone needs to make nice non alcoholic wine... Everything I've tried so far is a fail 😆

RE: We don't know where we are, but at least we know what to do - nothing - 15-06-2022

Had gin once, got in a fight. It was messy.

RE: We don't know where we are, but at least we know what to do - thomil - 15-06-2022

I used to despise gin but I've actually grown to like it, even before our German sales team sent out a DIY Gin set to all team members for Christmas. I still have plenty of botanicals and plenty of tonic, and Absolute Vodka works good as a base since it's grain based, so I think I'll make a few more bottles before the year is out.

My first experience of gin at ~17 was being given Cork Dry with Diet coke. I did not drink gin again for nearly 15 years. 🤮

I liked tonic so I drank vodka tonics, but someone was having gin of a nicer variety with tonic and rhubarb bitters and I just had to try it (I love rhubarb anything) and from then on I began to drink the odd gin but never cork dry and only with tonic or in a cocktail.

@nothing ... "Gincident: (noun) An event that happened due to one too many gins." 😆 Friend of mine bought me a little cute sign with that quote.

I'm firmly on the not liking gin train.. I'm a pretty simple vodka and coke drinker (in a pub I'd usually use one coke for 2 vodkas, gotta save those pennies!).. cocktails I'd go for whiskey sour or an appletini

I'd usually start out on beer though and switch to vodka if its going to be a late one  Smile

Sure the first day should just be IT issues and tea Tongue

Best of luck Shane, first few days are always weird even getting to know the layout of the workplace, once you get your bearings you'll be flying though.
