The Traitors starts at 9.30pm on BBC1 on Tuesday - 22 contestants put together, big prize money, and 3 of them are secret Traitors.

Basically, its werewolf!

RE: Armchair Critics - Let's Talk TV - RSOAPS - 29-11-2022

Haven't watched it yet, but there was an Australian version of The Traitors on a few weeks ago that I quite enjoyed, so looking forward to seeing how the UK version will compare

Think there was a Danish version too, which was possibly the first. Must have a look into it

RE: Armchair Critics - Let's Talk TV - nothing - 29-11-2022

Sorry, not Danish, Dutch - their version has 2 seasons with celebs. There's Australian, Belgian, French, Russian, Norse, Spanish and American versions, as well as the British one

Just finished the first episode, enjoying it so far and I think its got a better flow to it that the Aussie version (thats probably just down to this having more interesting contestants to be fair), debating whether to plough in to the next two episodes iPlayer or just wait and watch them as they air on TV

RE: Armchair Critics - Let's Talk TV - nothing - 30-11-2022

Had the same debate myself, think I'm going to stick with air times for this week

Yeah myself and Necrina watched it today, love the format and love the setting. Don't think one of the traitors will last too long tbh their facial expressions give them away too much I think.

Don't know any of the names yet after 2 eps, but I'd probably take out randoms to begin with, those who seem savvy enough but hadn't made any waves yet (like the two who are actually in a couple)

RE: Armchair Critics - Let's Talk TV - Spears - 01-12-2022

I should probably have a little nosey at this (Traiters) at some stage to see if I can figure out what all the WW fuss is about.

I must have been given access to read a WW game before (or maybe it was open to everyone to view IDK) but I hadn't a clue what was going on!

I'm sure I'll end up with a headache after watching just one episode  Confused

I seen that reported earlier.

I hadn't realised her age, for some reason I was thinking she was maybe late 50's.

From the 6 episodes we've seen from the BBC edition, I do think the UK version is far superior to the Aussie one (especially in terms of challenges and giving the contestants a fairly equal amount of screentime), but its still pretty decent overall

I've done 4 eps of AU, and I agree. Claudia is a better host, they have it more balanced so far. Traitors are doing a great job so far in both. Looking forward to binging the rest tomorrow.

Haven't seen the Aussie one but yeah the UK version is definitely very good. There are still a couple of contestants hiding a lot but they're starting to get called out now (similar to how we ignore low posters for a few days online ironically)

RE: Armchair Critics - Let's Talk TV - E.N. - 11-12-2022

Started watching The Patient on Disney+

Think it's an episode a week on there, so only watched 3/10, but it seems very good so far

Domhnall Gleeson kidnaps therapist Steve Carrell and says he wants to be cured of his compulsion to kill. Short episodes, 25mins each, so not a lot has happened and it's hard to know how it will develop. The acting from those two is absolutely top class though

You're so right about the air time, the 3rd or 4th banishment, someone voted for one guy and I was like who?! And not seen much of them in the few eps since, despite them still being in the game.

There were one or two that got so little air time I wondered if they had committed a felony or something between end of filming and start of airing so that they didn't really want to show them on-screen
