Survive The LYRICS - Kol - 05-10-2022
Welcome to Survive the lyrics, the first in a series of survive the.... games.
How it will work? I will present songs lyrics and you will name the song. It will be split into rounds, the lowest scorers in each round will be eliminated until we have 2 players left.
We need more info!. Each round will contain the lyrics from 8 songs. The lowest scorers in each round will be eliminated, the other players will move on to the next round. If only one player is left from a particular round, one of the eliminated players will advance to the final based on the performance in the tournament at that point.
All the lyrics here will be from the beginning on the song. If there is a do whoop, diddly dee, jabba daba do at the start, I will skip this and present the first proper words in the song.
All songs are famous, everyone will know the song if not the lyrics, nothing obscure here.
Each round will be run over a full day, so plenty of time to get your entries in.
While the round is live, I would recommend no chat on tread as it could influence others.
The final will be slightly different. There will be 3 batches on songs (A, B, C) Each player can pick one (both can pick the same if they wish) The remaining batches will be used for tie-breakers.
Well that sounds fine, could be fun.
Hold on there a minute, did I mention the 4 tokens each player has?
You all start with 4 tokens which you can use at any point.
Year: This token will give you the year of ONE song that you are stuck on (The original release in cases where there were also covers)
Artist: This token will give you the artist of ONE song you are stuck on (The original artist in cases where there were also covers)
Piggyback: This token lets you copy the answer of ONE song of another player (You can choose the player)
Assassin: This token can win you all the remaining tokens from another player, if you play it in a round on a particular player and they get eliminated, you earn their tokens.
I know it sounds complicated, I will explain more if we ever get going. Let me know if you're interested.

I'm going to leave the chat open during the game but please don't say too much about your answers or how many you think you got right. (Things like this round was easy or difficult is fine)
I will accept answers until 8PM each day, this gives us time to discuss each round afterwards.

I was inclined initially not to take part. Then I had a look at a couple of lyrics and recognised a few immediately. So, I considered taking part. Then I hit a wall with some others and realised that I would probably have to deploy most of my tags. So, my first instinct was right! Sorry!!
