Slipped on the ice in our driveway while de-icing the car.
Left hand in particular is a bit tender & moderately swollen; I'm fairly sure it's just bruising but not noticeably discoloured. I couldn't drive, can't even hold the phone comfortably. Minor bruises elsewhere, but these have eased a fair bit at this stage.
Meant myself + better half had to cancel a treat, now deferred to next year...grrr.

ESB Boxes in estates and their positioning. Thrown out the front in between two driveways which makes it impossible for larger vehicles to A) see and B) avoid.
Have seen loads of courier drivers, Eir vans, larger vehicles all back into them or in one case beach themselves completely and rip off a part of their bumper.
Oil truck came in today in the bad weather and had a minor skid when backing up... see the result below...
It's pure lazy from a design point of view, plain ugly and just shouldn't be permitted!

Headlice! ARGH! Both kids classes sent out notifications of an outbreak. We've shampooed the whole lot of us as a precaution and I'm about to shave the dog bald. Can't take any chances where headlice are concerned. The cat is lucky she has short hair as is so I'll just give her a bath.

Probably best to burn the house down just to be safe though.

You should get some fabric plasters - I find they stay put best on the heels while they heal (unintended pun 🤦♀️) The boots own brand ones are great

Pringles have sneakily reduced the size of their tub from 200g to 165g.. obviously no change in price!
Have noticed it happening a lot in last 6 months, dunnes have done the same with their meat, rise in price but what was 400g mince is now 350g

That would be alarming and unprecedented, very few below the age of 15 are tried as adults - even then it's only under extenuating circumstances (weighing the crime and past crimes committed).
