RE: FOG Academy - Greatest Actor Ever. - Kol - 19-10-2021 I've ran a lot of tournaments but I don't think I've ever had that many nominations. This is going to be epic RE: FOG Academy - Greatest Actor Ever. - jp liz v1 - 20-10-2021 I'm excited RE: FOG Academy - Greatest Actor Ever. - Wichita Lineman - 29-10-2021 Welcome to..... The ‘FOG Best Actor of All Time’ nomination papers are in and all the actors are backstage anxious to get going with knockout competition. With 512 actors to get through it’s going to be a long ride so buckle up. Round 1 will consist of 64 posts with 8 head-to-head match ups in each that you will decide the winners in. In this round, there has been some seeding in that any actor with 2 or more nominations cannot be drawn against another actor selected twice or more. From Round 2 onwards however it’s an open draw and some A listers might find it tougher going then. My plan is to try to issue at least 3 posts a day but obviously, life, work, and golf might intrude on that so we may have to be flexible on this. I will leave voting on each posted set open for 3 hours (MINIMUM) and will include any votes received on the thread before I post the next set. So in an ideal world if I post a set at 9, voting will close sometime after 12 (i.e. whenever I post the 2nd set) and then you have another 3 hours or more on set 2 until I post set 3 and so on. In the early rounds in the event of a tie, I will have the casting vote but I will use a randomizer method from the Quarter Finals onwards. I’m providing a picture of each actor with a link to his or her IMDB page and I’ve also selected a random trivia item, quote or bio note which hopefully you will find interesting. All bar the photos have been sourced from IMDB so I don’t for one second claim everything is 100% factual. Please don’t PM me asking why someone wasn’t nominated – after all there are literally millions of actors worldwide that could have qualified but 512 was as many as I could handle! The most important thing to remember is that this is for fun. Now, where did I put that red carpet…………………….. Why would someone complain to you that someone wasn't nominated? We were the ones charged with doing the nominating? If someone was left off we only have ourselves to blame! Looking forward to this. I expect about 90% of my noms will be out in the first round RE: FOG Academy - Greatest Actor Ever. - Wichita Lineman - 29-10-2021 ROUND 1 - MATCHES 1-4 Meg Ryan - She was voted "cutest" girl in school, class secretary, and homecoming queen in her senior year of high school. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000212/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Emilia Clarke - Emilia tattooed three flying dragons on her right wrist after completing the principal photography for Season 8 of Game of Thrones (2011). Turned out that he walked into the wrong hotel. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001822/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 ********************************************************** Michelle Pfeiffer - Met husband-to-be David E. RE: FOG Academy - Greatest Actor Ever. - quickbeam - 29-10-2021 Meg Ryan v Emilia Clarke - Meg was in some great films in her day, and it's a shame what she's done to herself. Emilia is far too johnny-comes-lately to be considered. Winona Ryder v Robert Wagner Michelle Pfeiffer v Billy Bob Thornton Sacha Baron Cohen v Basil Rathbone - Sacha is mostly one trick pony, though that trick really is quite good. Basil is an icon of the classic era. RE: FOG Academy - Greatest Actor Ever. - Zaph - 29-10-2021 (29-10-2021, 08:42 AM)Kol Wrote:(29-10-2021, 08:34 AM)cee_jay Wrote: Meg RyanSame please. I feel thet if yiou have two that are close and the crowd can't pick between them, they are both good candidates to win, and should both progress, both might easily beat off loads of the other competition and meet each other again in the final. it seems a shame to lose one of two great actors, just because they are up against each other and the crowd cant pick between them.
